“I am really happy and excited. My father and big bro decide most things in my life. My wedding too has followed suit. I am doubly happy for that. Though I have met Aarthi during many family occasions, and both our families who have been friends for a long time, it is destiny that has united

us,” says an elated Ravi. Ravi’s father, editor Mohan says,” We were not against love marriage

. But in Ravi’s case, it so happened that we could arrive at an unanimous decision on the alliance. Ravi’s fiancée Aarthi has finished her B.C.A. and has done her Masters in International Management.”

Is this the real picture of Prabhakaran?

Interestingly, the body of Prabhakran and his close aides were found in Nandigaram Lagoon, the zone that has been formally announced as a war free and safe zone by the srilankan government a few months ago. This has raised a certain amount of speculation over his death. The fact that he carried his tamil rebel ID card has raised a fair amount of uncertainty on the death.

Meanwhile, the pro LTTE persons still believe Prabhakaran and His son Charles Antony are alive and safe. “The face that the army shows to be that of the killed son of Prabhakaran—Charles—is obviously aged, while not even Prabhakaran is that old yet. Charles is not bald with a large moustache either.”  The MDMK chief Vaiko says Prabhakaran has carried out a similar operation in 1994 to escape himself out of the labyrinth set by Srilankan army.

Charles and some of the top officials of LTTE, including B. Nadesan, Pulidevan, were shot dead while trying to flee in an ambulance, says Srilankan government.

Sri Lanka’s military website said troops of 53 Division found the body of Anthony in Vellamullaikkal area in the island’s north this morning.

However, there have been some rumors going around about the survival of Prabhakaran. Government officials have yet to confirm his whereabouts, although there were wide spread speculation yesterday that he could have committed mass suicide along with his hardcore fighters.

Anthony, an aeronautical engineering graduate from abroad, was said to have set up LTTE’s air wing and had planned and executed several air raids in the past and on April 1, the 24-year-old, wounded his shoulders during a battle with Sri Lankan troops.

Prabhakaran had named his son Charles Anthony in memory of his close confidant who was killed in the civil war in 1983.

Eesa Audio has been launched here at Chennai with the maestro and oscar winner A.R. Rahman heading the function. Jiiva, Karan, jeyakumar also joined the function.  Eesa is an upcoming movie that stars Vignesh and Lakshana. The film’s music is composed by Haran, son of noted musician and music troupe owner Sridhar.

The first song ‘Aahayam Idimuzhakka’ brings the easy style and musical prowess of Periya Karuppu Thevar and Mukesh to the fore. There is nothing radically new in the tune; it is an usual tappankoothu. Haran, Nancy Vincent and Udit Narayan join to render another fast-paced, similarly composed number ‘Vettaruva Kannazhagi’. Harish Raghavendra and Bombay Jayashree come together for the first time for the duet ‘Orumurai Nee Paarthal’. More than the musical ingredients, the chemistry between the singers and their expert rendition brings about an exclusivity to the song. Prashanthini, Mukesh, Naresh Iyer’s ‘Unnalathan Naanum Vazhven’ is an enjoyable. Kennedy, Jayashree Kumar and Mukesh’s ‘Yaaradi nee Mohini’ too is a well-knit composition.

Earlier During a press meet, JK, the producer of this film, mentioned that Eesa will turn out to be Vignesh’s stepping-stone to success and stardom. The movie is being produced with much grandeur and JK has spent lavishly to ensure that the movie thrills the audiences and proves to be commercially successful. Vignesh plays a character called Sudalesan, which is said to be very different from his earlier roles. Vignesh’s role would get him the fame and applause which Kamal and Vikram received for their roles in 16 Vayathinile and Pithamagan respectively, says the confident producer.

Haran makes his debut as a music director with Eesa. Lyrics are by Na. Muthukumar and Kabilan. Cinematography is by R.B. Balaganesh and stunts are by Dragon Singli. Kadhal Kandhas does the dance choreography. The movie is due to release in June.

Great  Crevase Edgar Mueller.  Hard work: Together  with up to five assistants, Mueller painted  all day long from sunrise to sunset. The picture appeared on the  East Pier in Dun Laoghaire ,   Ireland , as part of the town’s Festival of World  Cultures.

He spent  five days, working 12 hours a day, to create the 250  square metre image of the crevasse,  which,  viewed from the correct angle, appears to be 3D. He then  persuaded passers-by to complete  the  illusion by pretending the gaping hole was real. ‘I wanted to play with positives and  negatives to encourage people to thnk twice about  everything they see,’  he said.  ’It was a very scary scene, but when  people saw it they had great fun playing on  it and  pretending to fall into the earth.  ’I like to  think that later, when they returned home, they might reflect more on what a frightening  scenario it was and say, “Wow, that was actually pretty  scary.”

After Amrita Arora and Ayesha Takia, wedding bells are now ringing for Isha Koppikar. The actress is looking forward to tie the knot with her restaurateur boyfriend, Timmy Narang in November. A small party was held at a South Mumbai hotel recently to announce the news to family and friends.

Spilling the beans on what happened at the party, our source reveals, “Both the families, the Koppikars and the Narangs are extremely pleased with the relationship. The wedding is fixed for Nov 26. Isha and Timmy will marry at a suburban temple and that will be followed by a grand function at the Narang bungalow on Nov 29.”

The couple is so excited about taking the plunge that they are leaving no stone unturned to plan the best wedding. Isha and Timmy are both into spirituality and are followers of the Oneness University, situated in South India. Adds our source, “The couple recently paid a visit to Sri Amma Bhagavan, the founders of the Oneness University, to take their blessings and consult them for the wedding date.”

Isha confirms to us that she visited the Oneness University with Timmy to seek blessings, but when we asked her about the wedding plans, all she had to say was, “I am definitely getting married. But I haven’t decided on a date as of now.
